POD continues to foster local knowledge and community participation through agro-ecological principles, which emphasize the integration of ecological processes into agricultural practices to promote long-term viability and resilience. In our partnering communities, these principles prioritize biodiversity conservation, soil health management, and the efficient use of resources. Practices include crop diversification, integrated pest management, agroforestry, and water conservation techniques, enhancing food security, reducing environmental impact, and promoting socio-economic development in harmony with natural ecosystems.
