The community members are mobilized through a participatory process that enables them to SEE, REFLECT, DECIDE and ACT on immediate, intermediate and long-term by taking appropriate actions using their available resources and knowledge towards improving their situation.
POD has also been facilitating the maintenance and construction of feeders/access roads and constructions of culverts and bridges.
POD facilitates the process of improving the economic status of the targeted communities through awareness and training of women on income-generating activities.
Being the foundational intervention focus right from inception, POD has been enabling communities to dig concrete lined wells with covering activities to provide safe drinking water.
POD of ECWA is involved in enlightenment, training and empowering of comminates to engage in sustainable agricultural practices.
As domestic water usage and hygiene are inseparable, POD is enabling the communities through health education training of Voluntary Health Workers (VHWs) to address their hygiene and environmental issues. This has resulted in the building of ventilated Improved pit latrines (VIPs) for proper factual disposal.
